A Pho Ba Ria 2 Saturday Evening

Image
Saturday 20 Oct 2018 Been hearing lotsa friends mentioned about this Vietnamese Restaurant in  Adelaide, Pho Ba Ria 2. So we decided to go there for our dinner. We thought we never been to Pho Ba Ria 2 but once we reached the place we remembered that Mimi brought us there before..... So it is a cold windy Saturday night and we The Lummies in Adelaide ventured to Woodville to check out Pho Ba Ria 2 again, a highly recommended restaurant by most Adeladians. And yes, no regret we went there for our dinner! The verdict??? Highly recommended. Pho Ba Ria 2 very popular with the Beef Pho...... Pork chop. Finely marinated with a sprinkle of veggies. Served with some chilli sauce. Portions are nice for starters. Laksa noodles. Not very Vietnamese but its tasty and has all the right ingredients - bean sprouts, pork slices, large prawns. Laksa broth was creamy with a burst of flavour. Highly recommended by the Lummies in Adelaide. Try it!!! Ahh the famous Vietnamese ...

Greeking out in Henley Beach

13 October 2018 IT"S A SUNNY DAY!! TIME TO GET SOME SUN TAN...... It’s a sunny Sunday afternoon and what better way to spend it than with family and fooooood! Today the Lummies in Adelaide satisfy our taste buds with some Greek cuisine. Our food hunt took us to Estia Greek Restaurant. Highly rated and one of the top food joints in the famous Henley Beach. Greek food is usually nicely marinated and grilled to perfection. We selected a combination of meat and seafood as recommended by our waiter. Together with our mains, we also ordered two serves of pita with some dipping sauce. Try the Htipiti, our favourite. But if you are more adventurous, you can try all five dipping sauces. Estia is right smack in the middle of the beach Pita is always a must when Greeking out. You'll need at least two serves. Calamari Tiganito, Keftedes meatballs, Tis Skaras Garithes (grilled prawns), Tis Skaras Kotopoulo (grilled chicken) with a side of veggies and rice. #estiag...

Breakie at Sage Home Ground

Image
Saturday mornings are beautiful because of a few reasons. For one thing, no work and a reason to laze around. Another reason is because it’s a nice and sunny spring day. Nice for a walk about along the Torrens river home to a couple rowing clubs and the Sage Home Ground cafe. Sage Home Ground serves some nice toasties, sandwiches and paninis. Not forgetting a strong long black coffee. We ordered the popular ham and cheese toastie which came with a generous spread of tomato purée toasted perfectly with melts in your mouth mozzarella. Our other order was a delicious chicken avocado panini. The panini was served with a nice thick spread of avo and big chunks of chicken. Combine these with a cup of long black and hot choc to kick start the day. #sagehomeground #breakie #adelaide #southaustralia #lummiesinadelaide #toastie #panini #torrensriver
